Welcome to the Four Seasons

The Four Seasons Sports Complex and Event Center is not only the home of the Carlton Youth Hockey Program but is also capable of hosting a variety of small and large events. The upstairs event center has tables and chairs capable of holding up to 200 people, and has been used for weddings, office parties, conferences, birthday parties, group meetings, graduation parties, and more. The arena holds more than 200 people and has been used for gun shows, volleyball tournaments, baseball and softball practices, large weddings, roller derbies, and even a circus.

Our Rates

Ice Rental: $120 per hour

   Event Center: one day event
(upstairs) $250 per day
or $30 per hour

 Arena: hourly rate is 
$50 per hour (during non-ice times)

Wedding in Event Center:
$450 total

Wedding in the Arena:
$650 total

Directions:

From Duluth, Highway 35: Take Exit 239. Go left (south) on Highway 45 approximately 2 miles to Highway 210. Turn right and go 3 blocks. The arena will be on the right side.

From the Range: - Highway 53 or 2 to Highway 33. South to Cloquet to Highway 35 south. Take exit 235 (Black Bear Casino). Turn left on Highway 210 (east) approximately 2 miles to Carlton. The arena will be on the left side as you enter Carlton.

From the Twin Cities: Highway 35 north to Exit 235. Right on Highway 210 approximately 2 miles to Carlton. The arena will be on the left as you enter Carlton.

From Brainerd/Moorhead: West on Highway 210 to Carlton. The arena will be on the left as you enter Carlton.

Event Center & Arena

Four Season Event Center

The Four Seasons Event Center has white tables and chairs capable of holding up to 200 people. It has been used for weddings, office parties, conferences, birthday parties, group meetings, graduation parties, and more. The event center is equipped with heating and air conditioning. It is located on the second level of the building but is accessible by elevator.

Hockey Registration

If you've missed the 2013-2014 registration, please call the Four Seasons Sports Complex at 384-3227 to talk to someone about signing up, then follow these steps:

1. Complete the Consent to Treat Form

2. Complete this Registration Form

3. Click here for directions to register with USA Hockey

4. Deliver these forms along with the USA Hockey bar code sheet and a copy of your child's birth certificate

Family Open Skating

Family Open Skate is BACK!!

The family open skate will take place inside the Four Seasons on Sundays from 1:30-3:30 on the dates listed below. There is no charge for the open skate. The outside rink will also be available, depending on weather.

Family Open Skate Rules:
*Always be considerate of other skaters
*Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult
*No carrying of children at any time on the ice
*No hockey sticks or pucks allowed
*No sliding on the ice
*No figure skating practice
*No food or drinks on the ice
*Push bars are available but are only to be used by those learning to skate, no chairs or other devices used for support are allowed
*The Four Seasons Sports Complex is not responsible for any injuries or lost items

Youth Hockey Information

Let's Play Hockey!!!

 

The 2013-2014 Carlton youth hockey registration will take place at the Four Seasons Sports Complex on:

September 15 from 4-7 pm

September 17 from 5-7 pm

 

Listed below are answers to some frequently asked questions:

Can I try out hockey to see if I like it before signing up? Yes! You have until December 1st to decide you like it or not and get a full refund.

Who can play? Boys and girls ages 5-9 (must be 5 befroe July 1st). Children ages 5-6 will be part of the Mite 1 program and children 7-9 will be Mite 2's (must be 7 before July 1st).

When can I sign up? September 15 from 4-7 and September 17 from 5-7 at the Four Seasons Sports Complex. Please register with usahockey.com and bring your barcode sheet with you. If you are not able to register during one of these times, please contact Eric at 390-8708 or Rob at 491-3689.

How often do you practice or play games? The Mite 1's practice twice a week, while the Mite 2's practice 3 times per week. All practices are held inside the Four Seasons Sports Complex. Both levels will also play in 3-4 local jamborees and the season runs from November through February.

How much does it cost? The cost for the Mite 1's is $150 and Mite 2's is $300. There is also a $50 fee to register with USA Hockey. The association also asks parents to volunteer time to keep the costs affordable.

What if my child wants to play but can't skate? The Mite 1 program is an instructional level structured to help children learn how to skate and understand the basics of hockey.

There is also free equipment available upon request for first year players.
